On Friday 27 October in Guangdong, China, the extension of the LIA ECOLAND was signed for a further 5 years. LIA Ecoland's research focuses on gaining a better understanding of the potential of contaminated soils and developing approaches and processes to restore their value. This research can be applied in a variety of contexts: agricultural soil contamination, restoration of mining sites, urban soils and urban farming.
The renewal of the LIA follows on from the fruitful collaborations carried out since 2015 by INRAE, the University of Lorraine and Sun-Yat Sen University, in the first phase of the Ecoland project. Ecoland 2 has been extended to include a new partner, the South China Agricultural University (SCAU).
