In order to ensure rigorous scientific research, the LSE is committed to INRAE in a quality approach based on the following objectives:

• Ensure the traceability of research work
• Improve the reliability of measurable results and be able to prove it
• Give guarantees as to:

1. the quality of equipment, data, methods and materials provided to research partners and beneficiaries
2. the durability of the data and their processing

• Improve functioning
• Contribute to risk management in the field of research activities
• This system is thus part of a desire for continuous improvement of all the practices and activities of the LSE.

In order to deploy the quality approach, the laboratory has a quality unit, a quality coordinator and a metrology manager.

The entire quality approach is based on a process approach in order to facilitate the organization of all activities.
