Thesis project under the supervision of Mr. Philippe LAVAL-GILLY and Mr. Jaïro FALLA-ANGEL.

The objective of this thesis is to improve the remediation of contaminated soils in order to reduce the duration of phytoremediation and also to increase plant biomass.

To meet this objective Miscanthus x giganteus will be associated with other plants to test the effectiveness of this co-culture in degradation of PAHs and in metals extraction.  

This work will also allow the development of technical itineraries ranging from phytoremediation to biomass valorization, as this aspect has not been studied  enough in the long term. Valorization of biomass could, under favorable conditions, bring an economic value.
