In 2025, the ECOLAND 2 International Associated Laboratory (LIA) strengthened its Franco-Chinese collaborations on the study of ecosystem services in contaminated land and the development of restoration strategies. The year was marked by intensified academic exchanges, major scientific events and the opening up of new prospects for cooperation. The annual workshop, held in Nancy in October, was linked for the first time to the CIRSET programme on critical metals and the circular economy. At the same time, ECOLAND was represented in Beijing during the Franco-Chinese Environment Month and in Shanghai at the International Professional Exchange Conference. These meetings focused on innovations for carbon storage in contaminated soils and on closer ties with the Franco-Chinese Carbon Neutrality Centre. The year was also rich in mobility : two French post-doctoral researchers joined the Chinese partners, while Professor Yetao Tang was awarded the status of visiting professor at the University of Lorraine. Several mobility programmes, funded in particular by the French Embassy and the University of Lorraine, supported the development of new joint projects. The year 2026 will be marked by the annual ECOLAND workshop, which will take place in China, and the continuation of exchanges, post-doc and students.
